How to Download iOS 6:
iOS 6 can be downloaded in one of the following three ways but, first, you need to prepare for the download. The first thing you need to do is ensure that you are running the latest iTunes version:
- Open iTunes and click on the Help menu
- Click on Check for Updates and wait – iTunes will see if there is an update available
- If there is, instructions will appear on your screen – follow them
Next, back your data up – you can do this through iTunes or iCloud. Lastly, disable the following features before you update – you can enable them again later:

Method 1: Over the Air (OTA)
This method is the quickest way but it is not recommended for those intending to install a jailbreak in the near future:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings
- Tap on General > Software Update
- When the update is found, tap on Download>Install
- Leave your device to update – it will reboot when done
Method 2: iTunes
- Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes
- Choose the Device Summary for your device and click on Update
- Click Install and wait; your device reboots when the update is done

Method 3: iTunes with IPSW
- Download the IPSW file that goes with your specific device (see below)
- Plug your device into your computer and open iTunes
- Click the Device Summary for the device being updated
- On your keyboard press the ALT (mac) or SHIFT (Windows) key and click on Restore in iTunes simultaneously
- Navigate to your IPSW file and click on it
- Click Install and wait; again, your device will reboot when it’s done

Apple has just released iOS 6 – its eagerly awaited next generation mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Back ups xs 1500 software.
Apple had given us sneak peak of iOS 6 at WWDC 2012 Keynote, which includes over 200 new features such as an all-new Maps app, improvements to Siri, new Passbook app, improved notification system, Facebook integration, Panorama camera mode etc.
iOS 6 is available as a free upgrade for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 3 (the new iPad), iPad 2 and 4th generation iPod touch. It seems to be available as over the over-the air update currently.
It is always a good idea to take a backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch before updating it with the latest iOS software update. You can back up your iOS device using iTunes or iCloud.
Take a backup of the SHSH blobs of all your iOS devices, so that you have an option to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1. It’s very simple to save SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella.
If you have jailbroken and/or unlocked your iPhone and cannot live without your favorite jailbreak apps and tweaks then you should avoid upgrading your iOS device to iOS 6.
